How the money works

The short version

Jackpot Ledger House earns affiliate commissions. When you click a "Visit" button on our ledger and later open an account with that casino, the operator may pay us a fee. You pay nothing extra — the commission comes out of the operator's marketing budget, not your pocket, and joining through our link costs exactly the same as typing the address yourself.

Which links are affiliate links

The primary buttons on each casino card — the ones that say "Visit 888 Casino", "Visit Casumo" and so on — carry tracking parameters that tell the operator you came from us. They're also marked with rel="sponsored" in the page code, which is the standard way of flagging commercial links to search engines. Links to safety organisations, the Gambling Commission and our own pages earn us nothing and never will.

What commissions never buy

• Position. The running order of the ledger reflects our checklist scores, not commission rates. Operators cannot pay to move up.
• Verdicts. One-word verdicts like Standout or Niche come from testing, and stay put whether or not a partnership exists.
• Silence. If an operator's weak spots show up in testing, they go in the review. No partner previews or edits our copy.
• A place on the list. An operator that lost its UKGC licence would come off the ledger the day we learned of it, contract or no contract.

Why we work this way

Somebody has to fund the testing time, and the two honest options are charging readers or charging operators per referred customer. We chose the second because it keeps the site free, and because it's the model we can be most transparent about: the incentive is for you to find a casino you actually stay happy with, since misleading you once means you never trust another verdict here.
